Catherine Y. Blevins, 89, of Ashland, Ky died Friday, April 8, 2022 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. She was born June 13, 1932 in Boyd County, Ky a daughter of the late Richard and Ruth Bartlett Terry. She was of the Baptist Faith and retired from the House Keeping Department at Kings Daughters Medical Center. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband James Floyd Blevins, a son Charles R. Moore, two grandchildren John Russell Ferguson and Wanda “Wendy” Craft, four sisters and seven brothers. She is survived by a son James T. (Susan) Barber of Richmond, Ky, 6 daughters Patricia Sorrentino of Westwood, Ky, Sharon (JD) Robinsons of Greenup, Ky, Sandra (Danny) Williams of Fort Pierce, Fl, Louise Jones of Westwood, Ky, Jane (Bill) Nelson, Ashland, Ky and Connie Davis of Westwood, Ky, a stepson Donald (Brenda) Blevins of Raceland, Ky, a stepdaughter Sandra McDonald of Frankfort, Ky, 13 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren. Services for Catherine will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 11 AM at the Lazear Funeral Home Chapel by Min. Jimm Smedley with burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Blevins.
