Doris (Tommie) Lewis Fannin of Ashland, Ky passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. Born in Ashland, Ky to the late George and Susie Lake Lewis on December 28, 1932. At the death of her mother, at birth she was raised by her grandparents David and Janette Lake and a special aunt, Maxie Lake Scott. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1950. After 30 years of service in the Accounting Department, she retired from Armco Steel Corporation. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas D. Fannin whom she married August 25, 1961. Brothers Bill Lewis, Richard (Dick) Lewis and sisters Betty Lewis Miller and Jean Maddox. Left to cherish her memory are 3 special nieces, Donna Johnson Stephens of Lexington, Ky., Kristy Maddox Boston of South Point, Oh. and Rae Mayhew Roberts of Cannonsburg, Ky. and several additional nieces and nephews. Thank you to the staff at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center and Ashland Hospice for the wonderful care she received. Entombment will be at Ashland Cemetery with her husband. At her request there will be no services.
