Herbert Michael Leadingham 1949-2024

Herbert Michael Leadingham,74, of South Ashland, went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 6, 2024, after a sudden illness. Mike was born on June 5, 1949, in Ashland, KY, a son of the late Herbert Leadingham and Grace Branham-Leadingham. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William Leadingham, Jack Leadingham, and a sister Mary Leadingham-Frame.
Mr. Leadingham was a retired chemical operator from Ashland Ethanol. He ended his career as a counselor for Ramey-Estep.
He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Kentucky Wildcats. He coached little league baseball for years. Most importantly, Mike was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his loving and dedicated wife Karen of 53 years; one sister, Alene O'banion, two sons, Joshua Leadingham of South Ashland, Michael Leadingham of Boyd, two grandchildren, Skylar Murray and husband Brennan of Westwood; Allie Leadingham of South Ashland; and a host of extended family and friends.
The funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2024, at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland by Brother Brennan Murray. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the funeral home. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Leadingham
