James Edward Newsome Sr October 20th, 1967- January 8th, 2023 On Sunday January 8th 2023 James Edward Newsome Sr passed away peacefully in his sleep. James is survived by his children James (Shawn) Newsome, Katie (Scotty) Stover, Safire (Caleb) Browning, Cheyenne (Blake) Stamper, Dominick (Nolan) Edenfield and grandchildren Dameon, Reagan, Jameson, Myah, Wade, Crissi, Oliver, and Ember. James also is survived by his siblings Freida (Dean), Curtis Newsome and Mathew Newsome. He is proceeded in death by his parents Edward and Bernice Newsome and his siblings William “Gordy” Newsome, Michael Newsome, and Annette Collins. James was a very creative soul. He enjoyed crafting and making a large variety of things such as woodworking, dream catchers, and jewelry. He enjoyed collecting eagle and wolf memorabilia as well as hunting and fishing. James was a music enthusiast with his favorite band being “The Doors”. In lieu of Flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alcoholics Anonymous instead.
