Mary Lou Salyers 1946-2023

A sad day for Kentucky but a great day for heaven. Mary Lou Salyers, 77, of Ashland, Ky went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 14, 2023 at her home. She was born September 24, 1946 in Ashland, Ky a daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Conley Shavers. She was a self-employed beautician and loved by many. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by three brothers Vanis, John, and Frank Shavers. She is survived by her loving husband Joseph C. Salyers, a son Chad Michael Conley of Ashland, Ky, a daughter Micah Conley of Santa Fe, NM, three grandchildren Cameron Conley of Bradenton, FL, Brenna Jackson of Santa Fe, NM, and Tristen (Eden) DaVania of Ironton, OH, two great grandchildren Keeson Kimmel and Vara Jackson, two brothers Charley (Pam) Shavers of Catlettsburg, Ky and Glen Roy Shavers of Grayson, Ky, and a sister in law Doris Shavers of Ashland, Ky. A memorial service for Mary Lou will be conducted Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 12 Noon by Pastor Lee Jackson at First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg. Friends may call at the church one hour before service time Wednesday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the Building Fund of Kilgore Community Church in Rush or to First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Salyers.
