Paul Vernon Conn, 76, of Ashland, Ky, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 at UK Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Paul was born May 12, 1950 in Boyd County, Ky a son of the late Virgil and Lucille Cook Conn. Paul was a United States Navy Veteran and a Welder for R.C. Jones Company. He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by an infant child Shirley Elizabeth Conn and four siblings. He is survived by his loving wife Roberta Ann Hall Conn, three children Kimberly (Mike) Martin of Highland, Il, Paul V. (Hannah) Conn, Jr. of Lexington, Ky, and Kathleen (Tyson) Preece of Ashland, Ky, nine grandchildren Seth Martin, Tanner Martin, Caroline Conn, Andrew Conn, Caleb Conn, Wyatt Preece, Easton Preece, Piper Hoverter, and Sawyer Hoverter, and three siblings Rose Halley of Ashland, Ky, Faye Dale of Columbus, Oh, and Larry Conn of Columbus, Oh. Services for Paul will be conducted Friday, September 11, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland by Chaplain Jimm Smedley with burial to follow in Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before service time Friday. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Conn.
