Randell Ray Cole, born on February 29, 1960 to John and Betty Rucker Cole, at Kings Daughters in Ashland, Ky, passed away on March 21, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Randell shared 38 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Melissa Shawn Cole. Together, they raised three children Matthew, Chelsea (Justin), and Seth, who were his greatest pride. He was also a grandfather to Hank, Grayson, and Beau whom he adored. He was also a loving brother to Debbie (Bill Fraley), Tammy (Walter Blevins), June Davenport, and Johnny (Vernice Cole), and a half-brother Orville Shreve, cherishing the bond they shared throughout their lives. He was surrounded by several cousins, nieces and nephews whom he all loved and adored. A hardworking and dedicated man, Randy was the owner of Stephens Development Co. for over 30 years. He was also a proud member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge in Ironton, where he enjoyed the camaraderie of friends. In his free time, he loved spending time watching his favorite team, the Cincinnati Bengals. Visitation will be held at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A funeral service for Randy will be conducted at the funeral home Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with Bill Rucker officiating and Scott Wilson speaking with burial to follow in Coalton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Potter, Aaron Blevins, Scott Wilson, Patrick Rivers, Johnny Wilson, and William Fraley. Randy’s laughter and unwavering love will be forever remembered. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Cole.
