Ricky Evans, 68, of Ashland, Ky passed away, Friday, July 17, 2026, at UK Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. He was a member of Rockdale Freewill Baptist Church. He was a Packer for Calgon and later became a Foreman for Stine Inc. Ricky had an infectious spirit and personality and touched everyone he met in some unique way. He loved sitting and just drinking a coke while talking to friends and strangers alike. He loved Classic Rock music and could be heard blasting it in his garage. He was born April 19, 1958, in Ashland, Ky, a son of the late Lonnie William and Garnet Marie Maynard Evans. He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by a brother Lonnie Evans. He is survived by a son Nathan Andrew Evans and his wife Kasey Reed, a grandson Peyton, two brothers Tommy Evans and Larry Howell and his wife Jeanne, two sisters Barbara Ronk and her husband Bill and Kathy Collins and her husband Ron, as well as a host of extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life for Ricky will be held July 28, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Ashland Train Depot at 99 15th St, Ashland, Ky 41101. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Evans.
